In Ohio transactions AIM Media buys, sells weeklies

In a transaction with Schloss Media Inc., AIM Media Midwest LLC has acquired the weekly Brookville (Ohio) Star and sold the David Schloss-owned publishing company four weeklies serving Lorain County, Ohio: The Oberlin News-Tribune, Wellington Enterprise, Amherst News Times and Lorain County Community Guide.

Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.

The four papers sold by AIM Media Midwest were acquired in 2017 when the publisher bought all Civitas Media’s assets plus a daily in West Virginia.

AIM Media Midwest owns and operates 16 daily newspapers and 15 weekly newspapers in Ohio plus the West Virginia daily, as well as a variety of weekly shopper publications, regional magazines, specialty publications, a commercial printing plant based in Miamisburg, Ohio, more than 40 web sites and DigitalAIM, a full service digital marketing agency. 

The company is an affiliate of AIM Media Texas and AIM Media Indiana. All the entities are managed by AIM Media Management of Dallas.
