Jeremy Gilbert is director of strategic initiatives for The Washington Post, where he works with journalists, engineers, and the advertising department to develop ways for more effective storytelling while also delivering innovation for advertisers. He joined the Post in 2014 from National Geographic, where he was deputy editor, digital. He taught journalism at Northwestern's Medill school, and was managing editor for innovations at the Poynter Institute. He started his news career as an art director at The News-Press in Fort Myers, Fla.
